CPQ (Quote Configuration & Automation) Implementation
CPQ (Quote Configuration & Automation) Implementation is a Revenue Hub engagement that builds how your team produces quotes in HubSpot: quote templates, configuration from the product library, e-signature and payment collection, approval steps, and the automation that removes manual assembly. It is for sales teams whose quotes are hand-built documents that take an afternoon and still contain errors.
The problem this solves
Every quote is a fresh document assembled by hand: a rep copies last quarter's file, swaps numbers, forgets to update a total, and sends a PDF with the wrong logo. Approvals happen over Slack, signed copies live in someone's inbox, and payment is a separate follow-up nobody chases. Deals slow down at exactly the moment they should close, because producing the paperwork is slower than the buyer's decision.
How we work
We build quoting as a repeatable configuration rather than a document exercise. Reps assemble a quote from the structured product library, so line items, prices, and terms pull from a controlled source and the totals are always right. Branded quote templates carry your terms and legal language, so there is no more copy-paste of the wrong version.
Then we automate the flow around it: e-signature so the buyer signs in place, payment collection attached to the quote so signing and paying can happen in one step, and approval steps where your process requires a manager or finance sign-off before a discount goes out. The paperwork keeps pace with the deal instead of braking it.
A note on scope: HubSpot's quote configuration is a clean, capable layer for standard-to-moderately-complex selling, not a heavy enterprise CPQ engine with deep rule-based product configuration. We design well within what it does reliably, and if your product genuinely needs configurator-grade logic, we tell you where the ceiling is instead of forcing it.

What buyers ask before scoping.
Is HubSpot CPQ a full configurator like Salesforce CPQ?
No, and we say that plainly. HubSpot's quote configuration handles product selection from your library, pricing, discounts, templates, e-signature, and payment cleanly - which covers most B2B selling well. It is not a deep rule-based configurator for highly complex, dependency-driven product bundles. We design within its real strengths, and if your product needs true configurator logic we flag it before you commit rather than after.
Can a buyer sign and pay from the same quote?
Yes - that is one of the main reasons to run quoting in Revenue Hub. E-signature and payment collection attach to the quote, so a buyer can accept, sign, and pay in one flow instead of you chasing a signature and then chasing payment separately. For EU businesses the payment step runs through the connected Stripe processor, which we set up as part of the commerce foundation.
Can we require approval before a discounted quote goes out?
Yes - where your process needs it, we build approval steps so a quote above a discount threshold or with non-standard terms routes to a manager or finance before it reaches the buyer. We keep approvals only where they earn their friction, because a sign-off on every quote just teaches reps to route around the system. The rule should catch the risky quotes, not slow the routine ones.
