Salesforce to HubSpot Migration

I move Leads, Accounts, Opportunities and Cases from Salesforce with their associations and original dates. Afterward, someone on your team can add a field or a report without waiting for an admin.

What teams on Salesforce come to me with

One field waits in the queue

The sales lead wants a new field on Opportunity but waits for the admin, the only person who knows which Flow it will trigger.

Paying for features nobody opens

The company pays for a high edition every year, and reps use a handful of fields and a couple of reports.

A webinar the rep never hears about

Marketing runs campaigns from a separate tool, so the rep can’t see on the contact that the customer attended a webinar yesterday.

What I move from Salesforce and where it lands in HubSpot

Lead and Contact

Leads as contacts

A Lead becomes a HubSpot contact at the lead lifecycle stage. A converted Lead is merged with its contact by email address.

Account

Accounts and company groups

An Account becomes a company and a Parent Account its parent company. The company record shows the whole group: headquarters and branches.

Opportunity

Opportunities as deals

Stages map to deal stages and Contact Roles to association labels. Stage change dates go into properties, so sales velocity reports keep working.

Case

Cases as tickets

A Case moves to Service Hub as a ticket associated with the company and contact. Queues become ticket pipelines.

Custom objects

Objects, formulas and permissions

Custom objects go to HubSpot custom objects, formulas to calculated properties, and profiles to teams and permissions.

Flow and Apex

Automation in three groups

I sort active Flows and Apex into three groups: rebuild as a workflow, rebuild as custom code in a workflow, or switch off because nobody needs it anymore.

How a Salesforce migration works

  1. 1

    Free consultation30 minutes

You tell me which Salesforce objects and automations you use. I tell you what is worth rebuilding and what to simplify.

  2. 2

    Data mappingObjects, fields and automation

I go through objects, fields and whatever has run in recent months. For automation I need someone who knows your current Flows.

  3. 3

    Test importOn a copy

Reps check their own deals and contacts. I compare record and association counts in both systems.

  4. 4

    Import and switchoverSalesforce stays available

On switchover day reps open their deals, tasks and forecast in HubSpot. Salesforce goes read-only.

  5. 5

    Training1.5-2 hour sessions

People who spent years in Salesforce know every shortcut. I train on your deals and show where HubSpot keeps what you use every day.

  6. 6

Ongoing supportOn demand or on a retainer

After launch you reach out when you need something, or we agree on a fixed scope of work for each month.

Questions before a Salesforce migration

How long does a Salesforce migration take?

It depends on the number of objects, active Flows and Apex code to rebuild. The import itself is a small part of the work. I give you a timeline after data mapping.

What happens to our Flows and Apex code?

HubSpot has a different automation engine, so nothing carries over on its own. What works I rebuild as a workflow or custom code in a workflow, and the rest gets switched off.

Will we keep customer history?

Records keep their original dates and associations, and Opportunity stage change dates go into deal properties. Tasks, calls and emails move to the customer timeline within the scope we set during mapping.

Will reps be without a CRM during the switch?

No. They work in Salesforce until switchover day and in HubSpot after that.

Which HubSpot license do we need?

It depends on what from Salesforce has to keep working. Custom objects require Enterprise, so I recommend a license after data mapping.

How much does a Salesforce migration cost?

We’ll work it out on the call, once I know your objects and automation. You pay for the HubSpot license separately, directly to HubSpot. We usually set the switchover date near the end of your paid Salesforce term.
