The problem this solves
A customer changes their billing details, accounting updates them on its side, and HubSpot keeps the old ones. To check whether a customer paid, a rep logs into another tool, and at month end sales and accounting report different numbers.
How I work
For each system I map out which objects and fields sync, in which direction, and which system wins when the data differs. We also agree on how records are matched: a person by email, a company by tax ID or by its ERP ID.
Where HubSpot has a ready-made sync for the system, I set it up in Data Hub and map the fields. Where there isn’t one, or it doesn’t cover your case, I write a custom connector. The first run starts from an agreed date, so old records don’t overwrite current ones, and the sync log shows what went through and when.
What you get
- A sync map: objects, fields, directions and the source-of-truth system
- Matching keys for people and companies
- Data Hub sync with field mapping
- A custom connector where the ready-made sync falls short
- A sync log and an alert when data stops flowing
