The problem this solves
Subscription revenue lives in one person’s spreadsheet. Someone remembers a renewal when the customer is already leaving, and a failed payment from an expired card surfaces at month-end close.
How I work
I start with your list of plans and contracts: how often you bill customers, what happens on a mid-term plan change and how multi-year contracts renew. I write down the unusual cases before pricing the project, because that’s where spreadsheets lose money.
In HubSpot, I set up subscriptions tied to the company and deal, with the plan, amount and payment schedule through Stripe. A workflow creates a task for the account manager ahead of the renewal date. I set up plan changes and cancellations so the next payment matches the contract. When a payment fails, HubSpot retries the charge and the account manager gets a task. I train account managers and finance in 1.5-2 hour sessions.
What you get
- Subscriptions tied to the company and deal
- Recurring payment schedules through Stripe
- A task for the account manager before renewal
- Plan change and cancellation handling
- Retries and a task after a failed payment
- A renewal and churn report for account managers and finance
